Born in Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture, in 1959, he developed a fascination with mazes during his childhood. His passion for exploring maze-like structures, particularly in castles, became a lifelong hobby. Commencing his artistic journey in high school, he pursued painting at Musashino Art University, completing his graduate studies in 1986. In 1989, he ventured into illustrating castle restoration projects, later expanding to historical illustrations featured in magazines and textbooks. Presently, he continues his dedication to drawing restoration illustrations for castles and temples upon local government requests. In 2003, inspired by his maze-loving child, he delved into creating maze artworks, ultimately publishing the picture book "Maze of Time" in 2005.
